QUICK STRIP PIECING FOR SENIOR QUILTS

Using 2 colors – finished will be 42 x 54

Cut (4) 6 ½” strips from color A

cut (4) 6 ½” strips from color B

Cut (5) 3 ½” border strips

Sew 1 strip of Color A to 1 strip of Color B. Make (4) sets, press seams.

Put two strip sets right sides together - opposites together A to B and B to A
Cut these in 6 ½” segments – You’ll have 24.
Sew pairs together into a 4- patch. You’ll have 12.
Sew (2) 4 patches together – you’ll have 6.
Sew (2) units together so you now have (8) 6 ½” squares in a vertical row. You’ll have 3.
Turn (1) upside down and sew two rows together. Add third row.
You now have quilt top 6 squares by 8 squares.
Add border.
